PARA Tigers Drop Undefeated Northport Housing
In PARA basketball action Saturday the Greene County PARA Tigers dropped undefeated Northport Housing and Coach Pee Wee. Greene County PARA went in Saturday's (March 12) game as underdogs. The first quarter came to an end with the Tigers in front 18-11.
At the end of the first half the Tigers led 28-21. The Tigers once again scored 31 second half points. At the end of the third quarter the Tigers took the game with a final score of 59-37. Carpenter stated all that he could tell the boys was the same thing Asst. Director Gentrell Eatman told him before the game, "Leave Ito on the Floor. and that's what the boys did.
Greene County PARA will advance into Tournament play Saturday. All Tigers scores: Damian Craig 22 points 4 assists, Cyontai Lewis 13 points 10 rebounds, Devin Merriweather 13 points 8 assists, Kyle Folwer 4 points, Desmond Jordan 3 points, Clarence Pearl 2 points 3 rebounds, DeQuiderick Pelt 2 point.
Greene County PARA Jr. Tigers Come Up Short
Greene County PARA Jr. Tigers lost 37-28 to Tuscaloosa, Saturday in PARA basketball action. Tigers scores: James Hill Jr. 10 points, Christopher Hicks 2 points, Michael Hutton 4 points, Tyrene Mack 2 points, Carpenter stated, "It's a learning experience for the boys and me. You win some you lose some. "The Tigers will travel to Tuscaloosa Saturday for tournament play, seeking a well needed victory.
